I'm not sure what you mean. Can you post a screenshot to see what you mean?

If you mean lines in the wake/waves around your boat, I think I get that sometimes too - I'll try to remember to take a screenshot next time I get out on patrol and see it if someone doesn't beat me to it.

Okay, I understand now. Yes, it's in the stock game, and I get them all the time. I'm not sure if it's my lack of RAM and if getting more will cure it, so I haven't worried about it.

OK - here's a shot of what I see - not sure if it's what the original poster was talking about but it sounds like it:

I'm running an nVidia GeForce 7950GT with 512MB on board and 93.71 drivers, using WinXP Pro on an Athlon 64 X2 4200+ with 2GB RAM at the moment, but I have seen these lines on my last couple of machines as well (one of which had an ATI X800XL and one had an nVidia 6800-something).

Would be great if anybody has a fix for this, as it does kinda spoil the immersion and otherwise impressive graphics.

If I remember correctly, those lines are just an SH3 "bug". I remember this issue coming up right after the game was released. There is no fix to it that I'm aware of. Chalk it up to "nothings perfect", I guess.

i've had this on and off since i got sh3.
i noticed that the lines sometimes disappear if i stop the sub and go back very slowly a little bit and then go forward again.
don't know what causes it though.:hmm:

Looks like the sea tiles where the edges meet up.

I get that too, from time to time...it depends a little on viewing angle, and wave-height.
Since SH3-release, I had it on 3 different Radeons: a 9500Pro, a 9800Pro, and now an X850XT.
CPU went from AMD XP2400+, to XP3200+ now...1Gig of RAM.
