ahoy!!!! please i have a question why if i installed the officiall patch 1.4 to 1.0 the game run and i go to play career or a single mission the game not running and he fly to desktop? i have the original game the eu dvd and i try all versions of 1.4 emea and others etc...

Hi mate, and welcome to Subsim!

This is weird, since the 1.4 patch can be installed directly on top of the vanilla game.. Did you install ALL the patches on top of each other, or did you remove them before installing the right one?

Is the patch installed direct onto the stock game ?
IE no other mods installed before trying to add the 1.4b

Maybe you need to start from scratch again.
Uninstall SH3, by going to Start/ControlPanel/Add or Remove Programs, and uninstall SH3 from the list.
Reboot.
Now delete any remaining SH3 folders, including the one in your MyDocuments-folder.
Reboot.

Now the proper install-procedure:

- get this patch: silent_hunter_3_dvd_1.4b_emea.exe, 20.5Mb.
- install the original SH3
- reboot (!)
- apply the patch
- reboot (!)
- run Windows Defragmentation over the partition(-s) that contains SH3

Now it should work, and you're ready to install mods if you wish to.
As you may notice, I made really clear to reboot everytime, so that the Windows-registry gets properly updated.

If it still doesn't work, then tell us what hardware and drivers you are using, and we'll see what can be done.
