SH3/GWX on a laptop

Ahoy there shipmates

, a little help and advice please:-

As im returning back to sea in February for about 12 weeks i am not looking forward to leaving my U-Boot & magnificent crew behind in my living room (on my pc).
So I am considering buying a laptop that will be capable of running SH3 at a decent rate so I can continue my career while im away at sea.
If anyone knows of any good laptops and website where they are available please let me know, my budget is about 1000 renown, i mean pounds sterling

Can't
help you with a shop, but for that money you should be able to buy a 1GB RAM, fast dedicated GFX card and core2 CPU. Compare a few screens and you'll be fine

I'm still playing on a 1,7GHZ, no dedicated GFX card and 512MB RAM IBM Thinkpad

I can regulary take a shower before if loads, LOL :rotfl:

Suggest AMD 4000+ or 4200+, Dual core? Ati card not shared, 2 Gig of RAM. 7200 rpm hard drive. if you have any money left go to Hawaii and enjoy it.
