While on the subject - Finding targets course

Hi, manual targeting has always been a pain for me, and calculating the AOB would be a lot easier if I could get my sub to travel a parallel course to the target, but in order to do that I need to find his course! Forget Wazoos' tutorial, half the nav map tools he uses I don't have but even then too complicated, for me anyway.
In the past I use the nav map with god's eye view to match course & calculate speed, but this is rather cheating & not really manual targeting!!
There must be a relatively easy way though to find the targets course knowing:
1) Target Bearing
2) U-Boats course
3) Anything I may have missed!
If anyone knows of a good method could they please explain it to me?
Many Thanks.

You don't have the NavMap tools that Wazoo uses??... they are included in SHIII stock IF you have patched it, if your playing the game as it came out of the box then you're missing out on a lot.

From Wazoo's Manual charting & Targeting part II:
Quote:
Step #6 Draw a Bearing Line to the Target
Select the ruler tool, and extend a line from the position you marked as your observation point in Step #4 through the bottom of the compass that appears at the tip of the ruler.
No compass appears at the tip of my ruler, & I use 1.4b!!!!
Like I said, His way is too complicated & I don't particularly want to scan the picture in, upload it, just to show the tools he uses that are NOT standard!

Go to the Nav map and click the ? mark before selecting a tool. Did this help?

Calm down Reece!

To all the Noobies: Sorry to be abrupt (not nice) but have come a lot further than the obvious answers given!
I went to Wazoos site & he lists the mods to be installed to use his tutorial but I don't want to do this, the nav map is cluttered enough & the mods are no longer available anyway (well I don't think they are) but as I said in the post It is far too dificult to me to be able to do all that he says in 3 minutes, I'm no mathematition But there must be an easier way, U-boat commanders must have been pretty darn smart to know all the things required to run a U-boat!
Being in my 50's the old saying "can't teach an old dog new tricks" may apply here!:rotfl:I'm currently trying to learn another technique, & if I ever work this out, I'll write a Tutorial in "Laymans terms"!!!
