Default 16 km visibility

Hello and happy new year all

Just have some questions about the 16 km visibility mod. I now have GWX installed and my computer is at the low end allready, would it make it even more low end if I install the 16 vis. mod. too? The reason why I ask is that with previous other mods. installed, amung these NYGM, I have fealt no difference in performance so I started to wonder if it would make any difference. Also, does the 16 km. vis. mod. really make it possible to visually identify a ship through the scope, I have often tried to be able to identify a ship at a long range, but then when I want to put the ID information on the notepad in the left corner of the scope it will not let me, as if there's some in game coded max range at which one is able to identify a ship, but some times with the 16 km. installed, it's as if I am allowed to do this earlier.....:hmm:

The 16km mod will increase PC load as it effectively doubles your world view
Its JSGME ready so you can always disable if too heavy for your PC

You can still identify ships at long range but the longer the distance the harder it is for you scope to lock on - sometimes wont lock at all as the distance is too great
The 16km mod will allow you get get a better lock on some long range targets but again depends on the distance

Load it and try for a patrol
Dont forget to rollback Commander first if you use it and best to do in port

:hmm: Okay, thanks...don't think that it's a good idea to try, already I get the yellow triangle in the bottom of my windows toolbar, after having played, saying that the memory is too short.......damn

Is your avatar a screenshot of a commander from PTO?

Oh how I miss PTO & PTO II. Wish Koei would make a PTO V and bring the game back to its roots. IV was too arcade-ish.

Ghost Wolf:

Don't know where my avatar comes from actually, it was given to me automatically by Subsim, for every 100'th message that you post in here your avatar changes as far as I know personally I would like to have kept my previous one. What is PTO? Something with torpedoboats? The minute knights of the sea is released I'm putting SH on the shelf
