Default HF/DF Simulated?

I try to play with max realism in mind so every evening I send a status report to Bdu. Are the Allies in this sim getting a position fix on me with Huff Duff when I do this?:hmm:

I've read reports where it was stated that this feature was broken in SH3...

The indications that I've gotten from lengthy testing... is that is DOES work.

The airstrike configuration file contains a line or two of code that "should" govern its effectiveness.

I've had a feeling that this was in the game. I remember a few times where I sent a patrol report and been jumped on by planes and DD's steaming directly towards me.

Perhaps dev team include it in the game but they don´t fix the DF and radar antennas.

this explain unexpected planes and scorts attacks when i was near a convoy sending reports.

Gut feel is that yes it is modelled in some way. I was shadowing a convoy and after one night attack and sinking a couple of ships, evading the retribution of the escorts and waiting until daylight before surfacing I could not see any ships to report so started my chase. Before any smoke was spotted on the horizon I paused to send a patrol report and about an hour later I found the escorts steaming back towards me looking for me.

Took another couple of hours game time to give them the slip.

I think your right guys...having played this sim and a variety of mods for some time it is just too coincidental how many times you get 'jumped' after sending a message
