Is the U-boat badge given on the 2nd patrol, right? I am starting my 3rd and I have not gotten it yet. The crew has but not me?

I'm playing Patched Vanilla and have several patrols with over 70K tons of sunk shipping.. I received the KC with diamonds before I received my U-boat badge. I finally received my badge after my 10th. patrol..

It was most often awarded after two patrols...but it was often times up to the skipper to put in the request with BdU.

As for the in-game aspects, the war badge does nothing other than offer "eye candy".
