Sun at GWX

Moin GWX - Team,
I have one question to sun in the GWX appear those more largely and more brightly than before, can be? And if as I can change that again?

I noticed the sun seemed enormous, just as it came up over the horizon.
But I think it has to be that way, especially because I was sailing close to the pole-circle, in June...and no fog or clouds.
I said seemed, because it's a known distortion because of atmospheric effects.
