AARRGGHH!! That Ship Names list still isn't right! Mission San Fernando was an American tanker! Not only was it not a large merchant, but America's not even in the war in September 1940!

Sorry to interrupt your thread, Dimitrius. Back to regularly scheduled programming.

Oh, nice report, by the way. I would love to see some more details on the action, though; anything interesting happen, like duds, enemy attacks and more?

Sailor Steve

Hi

You remind me a patrol log that i made with pen and paper
Her is a short story

About half month ago i desided to ectually write a patrol log, using my imagination i started to wrote not only about contacts and etc. I whrote about how the crew feel - the happiness the seadnes the fear. And after a dock in the port i get not a patrol log i get a nice single patrol story (not as good as dasboot offcourse - but as my little brother says - nice for reading).

Now i have a idea to learn and wright a real patrol log just like real comanders do
Even when i am to young (25 years old) to be a Captaine

That is a very impressive report BBW. Would be great if the was a progame that you could do that in as you went along on your patrol.
If rememeber was'nt JScones working on something like that , that you could use with SH3 Commander?. I cant be sure if he was or i was seeing things it too late off to bed with me.

Thanks guys
In the WPL Campaign you played as they do in WaW I imagine
You are assigned a flotilla and a patrol grid
Off you go and have to send in reports daily
At the end of the patrol we had to write up a KTB

Any convoys encountered had to be relayed back to your FC
Other boats were vectored in and if a couple of them made contact then the mission designers would write an MP mission and you would play as a wolfpack

Screenshots to prove sinkings and medals\promotions awarded by your flotilla commander after reviews

Was kinda fun
Might rejoin actually - they are still in 41 I think - or give WaW a go

Mate, i dont think you are to young..
During WWII, "Oberleutnant zur See der reserve" Hans-Georg Hess took command over U-995 (after Kapitänleutnant Walter Köhntopp)
when he was just 21 years old... Thats young, matey!
