Default Sunk my first tug boat............................

.............with the flak gun! December 1939, about 0300, in a TypeIIA. Closed in on to about 300 meters. Her lights came on giving a sort of eerie glow to the ship. I took them out with the flak gun and then kept firing at her. I must have hit the fuel tank because there was a large explosion, then the message "She's going down!" Used exactly 200 rounds in all. Not bad for 1800 tons I'd say. Using GWX btw.

Um, was this possibly a neutral ship? Reason I ask is I find neutrals run with their lights on

It was either neutural or German.

You either started a war with the USA or killed your brother.

If it was a spotlight that you are talking about, then it may be an enemy.

It was probably a Hare Krischna. They stop at nothing to make a sales pitch at ya - one less to worry about.

Yes, they were spotlights. She didn't switch them on until I was very close and when she spotted me she began to zig-zag, well before the spotlights came on. It was definitely an enemy kill. I radioed a patrol report immediately after and then received the usual "Keep up the good work." When I saved and exited for the night I was credited with two Allied units. I had sunk one of the pyro units earlier.
