I'm Pretty Impressed

I'm a WWII history buff...and a former lurker to this forum.

I started playing SH3 around T-Day...yes, I'm a latecomer to this game. Didn't even play stock...went right with TGW mod. Very impressive! Then comes the GWX and that's the way it SHOULD have been from the start! I started a new career out of Lorient in Sept, '40 in my U47 Type VIIB. On third patrol in GWX.

I've lurked about here for many weeks reading the comm manual and getting the feel for the tactics. I'm still not totally thrilled with the damage model...last patrol I nailed two whalers out of a convoy and the little devils motored on, albeit, filling with water, but I couldn't stick around to see if they sunk...I had two DD's on my case and I had to evade!

Huge KUDOS to the GWX team...and my thanks to you folks here for a great forum!
