Can I remove Starforce the following way?
Hi guys,
a quick question, I would like to do a clean install of SH 3 on my computer - Starforce free. Here is the scenario: 1. I have a dual boot of Windows XP on two disk partitions C: and D: 2. I would boot to Windows on partition D: and install SH3 from my original DVD on partition D: only. 3. After installing and updating to patch 1.4 I would take the SH3 folder and move it from D: to C: 4. I would boot to Windows on partition C: 5. I would erase and recover partition D: via Norton Ghost from my backup image to the state before SH3 installation => Would that completely send Starforce to hell? 6. I would apply No-CD patch for SH3 on my C: partiton and play the game What do you think guys? Please limit your comments to No-cd patch discussions. I buy original games/software since developers deserve it, but I am sick and tired of constant CD checks, Starforce, Whateverforce, etc. Thanks. |
