Default Have realism settings operate on a sliding scale

I like how I can toggle the realism settings in SHIII. But some settings are rather all-or-nothing. I'd like to see SHIV's settings operate on a sliding scale.

So instead of Manual targeting on/off (where you either have to do everything/nothing to set up a shot) you have incriments-
Easy: All data provided
Medium: All data except range provided
Hard: Only AoB provided
Realistic: Range, speed, and AoB all must be calculated by player

Map contact updates could work similarly. That way, new players can 'ease' their way into playing the game realistically.

Maybe that could be implemented like in FS9, were you have those easy to realistic settings, but still you can customize the difficulty. . .
