One thing that always messes me up is that I don't know just how deep I can go without getting crushed. The later type VIIC models are supposed be able to go pretty frickin deep, but how deep can they go?
Depth is generally your friend in open waters; it gives you time to get out of the way of depth charges, particularly if you are tiptoeing along at 1 knot. Decoys are also great because they fool the DDs into thinking you are at a much shallower depth than you really are. I'd like to know just how far I can push my tin can without imploding it. I do know that at 300 meters, in-game objects like depth charges just disappear, so obviously crush depths can't be beyond that number. But what exactly are they? In Das Boot, they went pretty damn deep, with the depth gauge practically doing a 360 degree spin ![]() What about the others? Does anyone have a list of the absolute MAXIMUM depth each model sub can take at 100% hull integrity? |
