I have SH3 patched up with GW. My night are so dark i cant see anything. Is there a fix?
Doesnt the moon light effect the night lighting? How could sub operation at night with moon phases be left out of such a modern game? thx! |

Hmm..you know , i'm havin the same prob too. It's too damned dark as you say...I wonder if the atmospheric mod included with GW had something to do with it...

Try to change your monitor settings (contrast etc) Usually that does the trick

After reading many post on this issue and how I handle my very dark screenies so I can see what I have a snapshot of, I have found that you need to adjust the brightness and contrast on your monitor. Although I change my contrast and brightness with Picture it 9, I can also do it with my monitor adjustments.
![]() This shot was completely dark. I adjusted contrast and brightness. Attempt to do this with your videocard adjustments. Play with gamma also within you videocard program. The many post with reloading using light atmosphere did not help. Seems to be a monitor adjustment or a contrast/brightness with your videocard program.

The Contrast adjusted in the Video Card Setting has a really big impact on the Game Visibility I noticed.
Unfortunately if you set the contrast really high, the sub interior becomes too bright in my oppinion (I'd love to have the interior darkened a little, in SH3 you would never think anyone of the crew has to use a flashlight or something, except for the blackouts when getting damaged, which barely occurs anyway.....) |

Its one of those things you have to screw around with until you are happy. I lucked out as my in game night is just dark enough to make it fun but not to dark where you cannot see anything at all.
Use Sobers advise and mess around with monitor adjustments. ![]()

It depends on everything. What kind of monitor, how old it is, how its set up... all that. As good as GW is there are always going to be some things that just need to be customized.
