Default New idea for Avatars

I notice some people are not happy with their avatars, and some people may say get a life whats the big problem, some people may say post more so you loose that stupid avatar, some people may say hey hang on I paid money to have my own bloody avatar, what about these for avatars ? or not.

The sleeve bars are the only images on that page that are practical for avatars. You don't need to recognice types of braid or insignias.

Assuming this topic is even open for discussion.

Nice idea & nice find

But this forum is not just for SH3 players, who wouldn't mind having these as avatars, there are players of DW etc who may not want to use them.

I'm pretty sure that you can't say that one section of the forum uses this type and the other section use this one.

I think that although there are some 'questionable' avatars in Neil's system on the whole they are Navily (is that a word?) minded and do a good job at what they are designed for. Which is to depict a general ranking system in the forum.

I am pretty certain that the 'questionable' avatars are there to lighten things up a bit and to promote the user to post (without spamming) to get rid of it.

@Venatore

Nice idea, but like danlisa said. There is people from other games too here. Not just from Silent Hunter.

Oh and to be sure that Neal sees your suggestion, I´d post it in to the "Comments to SubSim review" section.

I've seen the avatar been used on others who have fallen fowl of the rules of this forum (I'm not going to say what they are, because I don't want to end up there!)

Is there one for a member who has been booted out??? Maybe a Biohazard symbol would be good for that!

OMFG!

I don't want one of these. I better pull myself together now. :p

@Topic
I would like to keep the current avatar system. If it isn't broken, why fix it?

Why does Cdre Gibs have that avatar? Did he bite the dust or is he still alive and well? Is it just one of a few special avatars like the "Langtrees Brothel" or "Rough Night in Bangkok"? :hmm:

He was permanently banned. Suspended members get the "In the brig" avatar and title.
