anybody heard of this probably rare anti-sonar equipment?
I was said to emit a series of deafening explosions and were intended to blackout the enemys listening gear. The U-boat would make its getaway by altering course or running at high speed during this short period was it put into use or was it just prototype?

I haven't heard about the Siegmund device, but I did hear something once about a prototype Siegmoidoscopic anti-sonar device - it too was said to emit a series of deafening explosions that were intended to blackout the enemy's listening gear, but apparently the large number of foul-smelling bubbles it sent to the surface gave away the u-boat's position and the project was cancelled
