Finally I got my computer ram updated so that now I am capable of enjoying all of those supermods that have emerged and I decided on the NYGM mod and find it great, thanks to the NYGM team for making a super sim even more super
![]() Then I have a question on how to mod. flags. I have downloaded an excellent small program called datTexTract.exe, which is able to open .Dat files, retrieve the TGA's for modding and then reinserting them again into the same .Dat file. My problem is, however, that after I have modified a flag, its size becomes altered to and datTextract refuses to insert the altered TGA into the .Dat file. Its size in kb has to be the same, does anyone know how to play around with this? Or solve the problem in another way ![]() |

About Flag Textures, Take note of the Resolution of the extracted flags (eg. 128 x 128 etc) also take note of the bits/pixel data. Your edited flags must be the same as the ones extracted, although they don't have to be the same size in KB.
I assume that you are extracting the texture with Timetravellers tool, SH3 Unpacker and re-packing the DAT's with Chessmaster 10 Unpacker? Also what editing software are you using?

Why not install "FLB Sale U-999's 6 Dials Simfeelin Mod for use with NYGM 2.2", it has a far better and smaller console for the bottom of the screen and the other dials are very usefull - you can always slide them away if you don't need them.
Check it out at: http://www.wolvesatwar.org/nygm Cheers, Hans |

Danlisa:
About the flags, I have reattempted and get the same error. The program reports that the colour depth is wrong, the original is of 16 bit colour depth and the altered one that I want to insert is of 24 bit colour depth, this is why the program (the 10'th chessmaster etc.) refuses to insert the new flags into the .Dat file. Does anyone have an idea of what to do? ![]() |
