Well I'm trying to get it up and running now...... So far it's taken me nearly all day! (Still feel dirty for giving Ubisoft more money....!!!! )
First attempt was a disaster. Reinstalled all the mods with JSGME fine but screwed something up with the patcher. Ended up with instant CTD's as soon as I got the save loaded ..... One redone download and install later I'm trying again..... First time round I tried the method of modifying the files in the SH5 folder and obviously messed up. This time around I've used Trevally's method of copying the files and creating a JSGME mod to load them. Here's hoping it works....... I'm considering the sacrifice of a small rodent before real testing begins, just to be on the safe side!! |

I've got it working now (Never under-estimate the power of sacrificing small rodents!! ) As I mentioned in my previous post, I used Trevally's method of copying the required files from the game to a folder with TDW's patch files and creating a mod from there to load with JSGME. Not, I hasten to add that I think the other method was to blame for my earlier problems...... I simply messed something up but I can't identify exactly what I did wrong (not much help to you there I'm afraid). All I can suggest is take it slowly. I installed my more basic mods (German language pack, small graphics mods for uniforms and minor adjustments to the U-boat) which I knew either had no conflicts with NewUI's and OHII 2.5, or that I knew had elements that the bigger mods could over-write without causing problems. Here's a link to the installation method I used http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=197960 And if it's of any use, here's my JSGME mod load order which seems to be working fine: Hope all this helps you get sorted. Where abouts in South Africa are you BTW? I lived just north of Cape Town for nearly 20 years before coming back to the UK in 2000. |

Thanks for your help gents. Your step by step guides are a great help, Peter and Sjizzle, you've been a huge help. Hi 7Infanterie19
In your Post #11273 you were talking about what you back up but you did not mention if you do anything with all the files in the Program Files (x86) Folder > Ubisoft Folder > Ubisoft Game Launcher Folder. Peter

Thanks for the info. I think I am messing up somewhere at Trevally's step no 4 because when I open the Generic Patcher I don't get the option to go select a path to "TDW_SH5_Patches.s5p" I get this: These are my sequences up to step 4 Yes I am only an hour and 30 minutes out of Cape Town in a place called Hermanus known as the best place in the world for land based whale watching. The Southern Rights are already arriving in the bay but so is our winter. It is typical Cape winters day, snow, rain and freezing as I am sure you will recall. Thanks again for your help - much appreciated |

I can only echo Defiance's post above regarding TheBerbsters step by step tutorials. Also I notice that you're using MagUI and not TDW's NewUI. That being the case contact Sjizzle on these forums. I think he's done a megamod based on that UI you're using (haven't got a link, sorry). He may be able to recommend which version of TDW's patcher will work best with the mods you're using and may also have some good tips for you I don't know about. I used to know Hermanus very well. Visited it many times. A lovely place to live. I used to live in Tableview on the Atlantic coast. I was lucky enough to have a job in Cape Town that lead to me driving all over the Western Cape as far out as Piketberg, Worcester and Arniston. Always loved the drive over Sir Lowry's Pass from Sommerset West when heading out your way. |

Hello, I've recently started using this mod as part of The Wolves of Steel mega mod, and I'm having a very minor issue, but one that I would still like to fix if possible.
When I play the game at my native 2560x1440 resolution, there is a problem where the TAI is displaying in the upper left hand corner over the torpedo controls. I've tried disabling and enabling the TAI, as well as setting its starting width and height to both 0 and the default. It displays in this position both when enabled and disabled. I have also tried deleting all the Pagex_Draggables.TDW files in the install directory. When I switch to 1920x1080, the TAI displays correctly. I have linked a screenshot with the problem highlighted, I apologize if it is a bit difficult to see. http://i.imgur.com/xCsTso4.jpg Thanks for the assistance. |
