Hmm the price tag is often a difficult one. Personally I would say $4.99 is some kind of a "magical" border but for good games $9.99 would be fine as well. At least we speak about smartphone/tablet games here.
Regarding the demo version on Appstore. I think it's a good idea to create some kind of a lite version with one mission in it and a full version including everything. Freemium is another possibility and games like World of Tanks show that this can be very lucrative. |

$9,99 is a pizza salami.
To make a pizza salami costs $4? To eat a pizza salami needs - 15min? Hmm To make a game needs 24 month? To play a game needs 10 up to endless hours? But you're right $9,99 is a lot of money I remember the time as i buy games that costs 120 DM (German Mark) in Euro 60 EUR. Today it is all Iphone slavery.

I disagree with this sentiment. It kind of insinuates that if it's on a smartphone or tablet, it's not a 'real' game so it can't have a 'real' price. But on these platforms we are creating ever more complex and advanced games, and you can't have that without being prepared to pay a realistic price. A game with submarines is never going to sell billions of units like Angry Birds, so the economics are not the same. I personally wouldn't mind paying console prices for my tablet games if I get a quality product for it.

I have some in the markets like you and sometimes people just complain about a $0.99 price tag. That's just ridiculous... |

But you don't have to compete in the mass market.

True, that's an argument. It's just a trade off. Can you sell 100 games for $4.99 or only 20 for $9.99.
Oh well here comes the capitalist! |

I haven't announced a price yet and I won't till it is live on the App Store…
I think Julhelm is right about the premium price. …but the price on the App Store is different to the other game markets. Unfortunately most people does not accept higher prices than 99 cent. Fortunately most people would not buy a sub sim even for just 99 cent because they are just too stupid to play it. Great thing is that the members of those two groups are almost identical and I can set my focus on the rest. …time to work again - april ends in 6 months

The premium model targets the former. The freemium model aims at the freeloaders in the hopes of finding a few who are inclined to pay premium prices. |

Of course $9.99 is considered "Premium Pricing" in the App Store! Now this $29.99 you speak of: would I pay that for "WOTA: Seehund"? In a word, nein. Now I just ate a lot of well-prepared turkey with gravy, chestnut stuffing, mashed potatoes, candied sweet potatoes, creamed onions and squash, with pumpkin pie & fresh-pressed apfelcider. I'm sprawled out on my aunt's couch with my iPad Air & a Marlboro. Don't ruin my digestion, 'kay?

Well, you're ruining everyone else's digestion with your attitude.
EDIT: I've looked at your profile. Do you actually care about submarine sims, or are you just an Apple fanboy? Because this is the ONLY thread you've ever posted in.

You're right. "WOTA: U-96" absolutely more than deserves it.
No, I don't think that at all.

In theory it is easy to port it, but I don't have any devices for testing and there are so many different devices, this makes it much harder (and it is an extremely boring task) than to port it to desktop with all possible eye-candy (fun)
