BTW: did you get an intro sequence with some morse and the SS II cover? I am wondering because I downloaded my SHReal on Hawk's site https://web.archive.org/web/20180925...ter_mods.shtml and I do not think you get these from the Subsim Version (I really have to check...)

I fixed it because there is a missing file from subsims download and using the power of the way back machine I grabbed the orginal download and found the required file, all you really need is SHREAL.EXE and the missing VGASYS.FON which is the missing file from subsims download.
