Greetings, Cdr. That's up to RR. But we surely can use all hands on deck at the moment.

I concur. So far, the vote tally is two to nothing. Of course, in this democratic autocracy, one vote from RR does you in...
If accepted, your assignment will be to try and break it, in all manner possible. This includes Campaigns, Multi Missions, Single Missions, Single Patrols and Submarine School, and any other way you can play it - oh! Let's not forget user-created Missions... |

Absolutely! You're added to our Beta tester list. Stand by for a link to FOTRS Ultiimate v0.29, being finalized now.

Uploading 100_FalloftheRisingSun_v0.29_Beta_EN.7z now (thank you s7rikeback!) including a working Katori seaplane launcher and Katori ASW version too (thank you propbeanie!) all in one bursting at the seams package of wonderfulness!
Beta testers, stand by for new links. Your assignment: break it! Bend it! Squish it! Torture it beyond its ability to endure and tell us what breaks and how.

One thing that needs an urgent overhaul are the sensors, they are a blinking mess, your hydrophone or radar guy can call out a contact and a few minutes later it can just disappear into thin air.
You can do a normal sweep or follow the nearest contact or even do the hydrophone yourself and there's nothing but silence, its the same with the radar as well. Later on they can detect a contact again only to lose it again within minutes, as its intermittent I'm thinking there's a bit of a foul up with the values that are being used in the sensor files. I'm not sure if its the submarines or the ships which are at fault but whichever one it is they need fixing, I don't mind being blind as obviously I'm in a sub, but being deaf is taking it a bit too far me thinks. I must say that even with this sound hindrance I'm still sinking on average 5 ships per patrol, not a bad average at all me thinks when taking everything into consideration. I haven't come up against any other major bugs as yet, just some minor ship and flag texture issues which have already been reported so its still a big well done with the mod so far.

CapnScurvy had been checking into the sensor weirdness, and I'm not sure how far along he's gotten. You might notice that some of those initial sound contacts are ~way~ out there, like over 20,000 yards. I'm not sure how far out a real sonar could "hear"... Each minor version of the mod has potential changes to the skinning, so if you could, let us know the date, as well as the ship you see that are off, even if just a little. There are upwards of 10 skins for some of the ships, and they're applied based upon dates, so having the date can help trace the issue. For the team, thanks for the thumbs up.

No, I had uploaded his old version before the CL Update from Propbeanie. It's been deleted and we're just waiting for s7rikeback. I haven't changed the title screen yet because.....I lost......cdrsubron7's background shot!
Once s7rikeback gets it uploaded, I'll download, change the title screen and re-upload. Then we'll shoot links to all the beta testers and announce v0.29 Beta is up. After a couple days I'll upload it as our first public beta!
