VIIB tested in career mode in April 1940 (not available before)

The emblem on right side was slightly off:



It is now fixed and perfect:



Didn't experienced any lost of emblem on the whole mission (surfaced nor submerged)
Didn't have any lost of FPS, even closing/attacking big convoy. No stuttering of any kind even with dozens of ships.





Along the Shetlands, ship spotted in light fog, dived and ready for attack.
The ship was a British destroyer that my crew spotted at 4500m. I COULD SEE IT but only its shape at first in the fog. Then when he approach i could see it better.
No visibility problem encountered of whole mission; could see all convoy ships in a 4500m radius (no more because of fog).
After i badly missed the destroyer, and managed to escape, was again in good position for cargos:





Sank 2 in a row...
Ships are burning as intended, no graphical problem even closing with external camera.

My only problem in this mission was the 2 cargos were neutrals
All the British ships were in the rear of convoy...but for testing purpoise no big deal

Back home, nothing else to report. VIIB is a great boat

The ship was burning and sinking
I could see the fire from the ship in the water , but NOT on the ship?🤷‍♂️ only the reflection on the water was visible

3 Viib gives me fps drops but i just turn the clear water of

My bad, sorry you are right...i missed this flotilla. Too many flotillas and U-Boats!

Okay, tested now the IXB in 1942...how awesome is that boat!
Sea = 7m/s, it's rolling as intended in my opinion, nothing bad. In fact i like the way it's reacting in the waves. Even if he is heavier than a VII type, it can't be as steady as a liner

Partialy cloudy, no fog, visibility unlimited.
Ship spotted by my crew: at more than 14Km. I can clearly see it (only masts and smoke)





Full speed dive, and managing an interception course.



All is ready...identification, speed finding on U-Jagd = 9 Knots, distance estimation around 1000m (not that important), and AOB. LOOS!





Surface to finish him:















Game was very fluent all the mission, full FPS.
Again, nothing special to report on this great U-Boat model, all is working as intended...only thing i can say is i'm in love with OM!

I finally reproduced what some people saw with the VIIB...the lost of emblem AND FOR ME the lost of flag!

It happens only in rough sea (more than 10m/s) when all water particules are in action.

I have probably reached my max memory, and game choose what to skip to keep going...hence no more emblem and flag. Water particules seem prioritaire.

Not a game breaker, but still annoying. We are looking to try some things to lighten this model.

You can still play this type if you don’t care emblem and flag.
Saving/exiting to main screen/loading game solve the issue, but only for some time, if you are still in rough sea (maybe wait to be in calm weather again to save/exit/load?)
Other wise choose an other U-Boat type...

+ gained few FPS for the type VIIB (before 45, now 50)

Good work with the fps fix👏

But before You release this Update , u should fix the emblem on the type 9 uboat.

Some of the emblem on the left side of the conning tower is hidden behind some metal of the con tower

Should be an easy fix🤷‍♂️😃

Emblems corrected + fixed all water particules not working correctly.
Some were giving big pixels...it's fixed

What crew uniform mod are you using Fifi? As all of mine are still dressed in their tropical shorts and white singlets.

tropical shorts and white helmets? Don’t have them here...
In fact it’s the stock uniform that comes with OM+OMEGU, as i didn’t mod any uniform yet
They all have pants and heavy shirts for most.

But one thing i noticed is they don’t wear any rain gear when rough weather and no rain (15m/s). I would like to...
Didn’t have any rain yet in my career, could someone tell me if the rain gear is appearing when it’s raining ?

Type VII B/C Chief Officer has been moved to the left, and now moving the telegraph handle correctly...

UPDATE 5 IS OUT !!
(See end of post #1)

What has been done:

- Type IID edited to dates, and Flak crew added
- Type IID2 has appropriate AA in wintergarden now
- Flag Pole and German Flag added to type 18 and XXI
- Type II career re-worked with training flotillas
- New items from KSD II (Gramophone, radio etc)
- Camera is tilting the right way when diving
- New IXD2 conning tower. The snorkel side tube is correct now
- Emblems slightly off are fixed
- All U-Boat reflection problems are fixed (was clearly visible on IIB)
- Emblems and flag disappearing in rough weather is fixed
- All U-Boats water particules re-worked on hull + conning tower
- Type VII B/C chief officer has been moved so he can handle the telegraph correctly
- Various adjustments
- Few FPS gained for the VIIB type...

Hope you'll like it

And of course thanks to my friends S7rikeback and Propbeanie for helping making OM better each time!

As a heads-up to all of you, KaleunMarco has discovered a problem with the Baltic start for the Type IID at Kiel, in that if you choose "Outside the Harbor" for your start point, you will actually be spawned-in closer to Brunsbüttel than you are to the Baltic Sea, like you've journeyed through the canal from Kiel, on your way to the North Sea instead. Not good. Do NOT choose the "Outside" start for that, but rather choose the at "Tender" start, and you will start at the dock at Kiel, which is quite a bit closer. A "fix" is mixed, hand-off in progress, but we'll see how Fifi wants to handle it. Sorry about the bad start!

When you are aware of it, that’s not a bad thing at all IMHO

When playing from KIEL base (any career), if you choose to start outside harbor you skip the Kiel canal and spawn West of Denmark at the end of canal.
If you choose to start docked, you will stay Baltic side and East of Denmark (of course in Kiel harbor)


If i had to choose, i’ll Let it that way
