SHIII, gwx3.0 error

Hey guys, i realy need your help because im raging that my gwx3.0 gold supermod is not working with my steam sh3 version. I installed sh3 before and played it with gwx3.0 gold, but it crashed sometimes so i completly reinstalled it so i have a clean new start. Sh3.exe runs perfectly fine, so i wanted to add gwx3.0. I changed the path to steam because I have the steam installation clicked to next and then there was a error: cannot find the gwx3.0 files.
I am complety raging right now because i cant play sh3.
I reinstalled it all 3 times or more. I have the 1.0.4 version (or something like that) and i run it as a administrator and i tried it with windows xp3,xp2 and windows 7, bur nothing works

I open the gwx exe in the silenthunter folder but it doesnt find the gwx3.0 data/fiels

Please help me guys, i want to play silent hunter 3 again

You are most likely running into the Windows OS thwarting your mod activation Paul_Panzer15. If you use the default Steam install, the SH3 game ends up in "C:\Program Files (x86) \Steam \SteamApps \Common \Silent Hunter 3..." or similar. Anything with "Program Files" in Windows is a 'protected' file, and Windows will rollback any changes made to exe, ini, cfg and other files of a 'system' nature. If you have a 2nd viable hard drive to use for installations, then you could un-install SH3, and then re-install it, but put it in a new Steam Library on the 2nd hard drive. You might have to re-install Steam and SH3 both, if you do not. If you have other games, it can get a bit time consuming. But the path to SH3 is probably what is making your game not function after you install GWX into the SH3 folder. You should also delete all the files in the Save folder, which defaults to "C:\Users \UserName \Documents \SH3", and clear all of the old data in there. SH3 will rebuild the info with new data when you run the game again.

Hey propbeani i really aprecciate your help, there was no problem with the path, it was all right the problem was that the gwx.exe was in a folder in the silent hunter 3 folder, (hard to understand but idk how to say it different)
And the exe couldnt find it (i think) in the folder. I solved the problem by reinstalling silent hunter (with the data in my documents) and the gwx3.0 gold version, and i unpacked the gwx3.0 gold version in the silent hunter 3 folder and not in my downloads (before i unfoldet it in my downloads and copied the gwx3.0 folder so silenthunter 3 folder) but now everything works perfectly fine👍

Extra: Do ypu know any good widescreen mod for gwx3.0 gold version? Ive heard a lott abput ard widegui or somethung like that, but i dont want do crash the game with a not working mod
