Happy Birthday US Navy(funny)
Safe to say we are all interested in naval history, warfare etc.
Today marks 245th birthday of the United States Navy. Saw something on Facebook that made me laugh. Attached it but quoting it here. Enjoy. From Times of London in 1812 ....The US Navy is a "handful of fir-built frigates under a bit of striped bunting, manned by bastards and outlaws." lmao. See attachment below. |

Happy Birthday to all of the outlaws! That includes my dad, a WWII and Korean vet of the 7th Fleet SeaBees... can't remember his unit number anymore... sigh. It's a bear gettin' old, ain't it Navy?... lol
