Speaking of David Johansen (or David Doll, as he was known in 1973), he went on to have a modest career as an actor and a solo singing career under the name of Buster Poindexter...

There's a really good docu on YouTube about Arthur "Killer" Kane (Bass and thigh high latex boots) I was going to post it, but the end is a bit sad. Killer went though his problems after the Dolls broke up and wound up working in the library of LDS in L.A. He had a bit of a falling out with David/Buster but then in 2004 he had the chance to get back together with the band for a concert in London which went very well. He got back to L.A. and started to feel sick, went to the hospital and was told it was Leukemia and died two days later.
