Politicians in the US state of Mississippi have passed a resolution to replace the state flag with one without the Confederate emblem.

Republican Governor Tate Reeves earlier said he would sign the legislation into law if approved by lawmakers.

Mississippi is the last state in the US to feature the emblem on its flag.

The Confederate emblem is viewed by many as a racist symbol, with recent protests over the death of George Floyd reigniting debate over its use.

The flag was originally used by the slave-owning states that lost the US Civil War (1861-65).

A nine-member commission is expected to design a new flag, to be be voted on in November, that includes the phrase: "In God, We Trust."

Thus setting up the next state flag controversy. They should just go back to the pre 1894 version:

By reading the news a few hours ago(right after midnight) I could see Iran had accused Trump for war crime and had asked Interpol to arrest President Trump.

Good luck with that.

Any request from a government shall be taken serious by Interpol.
But Iran should know that an elected politician can't be arrested like an ordinary person, they are protected by political immunity.

I'm pretty sure it's nothing but a political thing the Iranian have made, by this step.

SCOTUS will hear the appeal on whether House Democrats should have access to the secret Mueller Grand Jury material.

The appeal will be heard this fall, which means no decision before the november election. Obviously the Democrats were hoping to get the material before the election so they could use any dirt in there against Trump.

I predict the decision on whether the House should have access to Trump's tax returns/Financial records will also be punted until after the election.

Conservatives and Liberals keep blasting Chief Justice Roberts since he seems to be shifting right and left every day, but as I said before IMHO he is trying to avoid getting the Court mired down in politics and tries to throw every touchy issue back to the politicians.

Like what would happen to USA if Japan and then EU and later China collapse economically ?

Yes USA is like rest of the independent state free to choose it's own government free to create own laws and so on.

But each of our countries are dependent on other countries economy and it's political stability.

It cannot avoid to be political - with the judges called up by presidents, the top politicians in the hierarchy.
