Default Generation War

This looks good. Really, really, good. Hopefully it'll get aired in Australia.

One of the actors in it played Lothar von Richthofen in The Red Baron, and he was one of the good things in that film.

Will certainly keep a lookout for it.

Well id suggest just watching the miniseries (Unsere Mutter, Unsere Vater). Its good, alot of cliche but still enjoyable. If this "movie" really is coming out, then its just going to be another das boot type thing where they try to cram a whole series into a single movie and it loses most of its cinematic value.

Still haven't seen it yet, but I think Skybird wrote something about it. Ah, here it is: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=203362, includes a link to an extensive article.

Also looks like the movie length is about the same as the series: http://www.musicboxfilms.com/generat....php#technical

Jeez thats like LOTR Return Of The King Extended Edition status. Hell of a thing to watch in one go.

I have all three LOTR Extended Editions. I usually watch them one-half at a time. Still, that's no worse than the 'Uncut Version' of Das Boot, at 4 hours 52 minutes.

Well, technically Das Boot was a miniseries, so not meant to be watched in one go.

Im surprised, though, i didnt take you for being a LOTR kind of guy.

I read the books in college in 1968. I've read them twice since, once in 1978 and again right after seeing the movies. I've read everything by Tolkien at least once, and his buddy Robert Graves too.
