PLEASE READ!

@ Trevally and all the OHII v2.3 patch1.1 Beta testers

I have had a look into the patch and in the main mod, and while digging into their Library folders I have spotted the following errors:
  • Problem #1- the following files of patch 1.1 (in orange) are clashing with shells_Rck.dsd and shells_Rck.dsd (also in patch 1.1), causing duplicated Id's (=crashes):

    guns_Rck.dsd
    guns_Rck.dsd-remove
    guns_Rck.zon
    guns_Rck.zon-remove

Solution: remove (manually) all the files marked above in orange from the patch 1.1, before enabling it.

  • Problem #2 - the guns_air.* files from OHII v2.3 (main mod) are still in the Library folder, though they are not used by any aircraft and probably bugged (=crashes):

    guns_air.dat
    guns_air.sim
    guns_air.zon

Solution: either remove all of the above files manually from OHII v2.3 before enabling it, or create three copies of the *-remove files found in patch 1.1 beta (leaving them in the same folder), rename them to:

    guns_air.dat-remove
    guns_air.sim-remove
    guns_air.zon-remove

... and, after that, enable the patch (1.1 Beta).

I am sorry if I have been redundant, but I hope I have made myself clear enough for once . If not, don't hesitate asking

Sorry, somehow I have not noticed at once.
In such help from me there is no sense, before me too there is a large language barrier. Any other help can be necessary?
By the way, when I added planes to airbases and carriers, I did not follow history, for me it was important to check up their behaviour in campaign. I only whenever possible tried to consider dates of occurrence of planes and their quantity on carriers.

Sorry Serge, for some obscure reason I was convinced that you were Russian

Reading reports by our subsim mates where they sink hundred of thounsand tons per patol, no matter patrol area or date, really pissed me off. Clearly this must change.

Air coverage, i.e. number, type and range of planes employed in any given area/time, played a key role in the Battle of the Atlantic at least since 1942 onwards. We have still a modest number of warplanes in OH, but there are tens of them waiting for being imported in campaign, and placing them according to historical information is not only a matter of eye candy imo.

All we need to do is answering the following questions:

who? (regiment, squadron, etc; this is optional though)
what planes? (name and variant if available)
how many of them? (if available)
where? (airfield names)
when? (from when to when)

As you find answers to the questions above, you should enter them in the on-line chart I have created.

For this task you don't need to know English. Phonetic transcriptions of airfield locations and aircraft names are more than enough
