Hi CaptBones,
Nothing to fear with your sub being submerged in bunker. We all see that  Techniciens and engineers are working on few leaks and testing repairs  To do some practice before starting patrols, you could launch some single mission instead of tutorial? Furthermore in single mission parts, there are some torpedo practice etc
