What is the percentage of Danish and Swedish politicians who are not corrupt? I'm betting it is a lot less in the US than there.

My opinion is that other world leaders love presidents like Obama, Biden, Bush, Clinton, etc. because they are easy to manipulate into doing things that aren't in the best interests of the average American citizen - they and/or their staffers view politics as a game with money and power as the prizes and are willing to do things against the interests of Americans as a result - so other world leaders love how easily they can get over on them.

Sorry bud, we can't force people to take the vaccine(at least her in the USA). Similar to the flu vaccine. I'm hard pressed to take a newly minted vaccine that has very little long term field trials. In short, I don't want to see commercials 20 years from now stating, "If you took the Covid vaccine and experiencing a hand growing out of our stomach, you have legal rights. Call Whe, Cheetem and How."

40% of LA county firefighters not showing up to get vaccinated is probably a good canary in the coalmine fir this.

I have difficulty believing *any* information on covid that is reported because it's all been politicized, no one has reported stats identically across the board, the models have been completely wrong, and no one is looking at the fact that 2018 and 2019 had huge upticks in flu and flu-like illness deaths (since surveillance protocols don't actually require positive confirmation of what virus or bacteria actually led to the pneumonia that kills the elderly) - for all we know, covid-19 may have been around since 2018. For all we know, a common coronavirus could have been killing the elderly for decades...

More importantly - covid-19 is a coronavirus - and it is transmitted exactly the same way as every other coronavirus that infects people. How many people have been carrying around cold and flu asymptomatically for eons? For all we know, 10-100x as many people have been infected as has been reported which means that covid-19 is highly likely to be as prevalent as other cold and flu viruses - which means we need to stop treating it like an airborne ebola. I'm betting that people who have had a severe immune reaction to the flu, to other coronaviruses, to rhinoviruses, aren't followed up with to see what long-term issues they have. We are only finding things with covid-19 *because* we are specifically looking for them.

When something like 50% of the country don't want the vaccine it's not surprising, but hey, I'll let you know when I grow horns after my second shot next week.

I think that the point still stands that if the cure is worse then the disease, people will avoid it - there have been publicized instances of people being "vaccinated" with a dry needle, of the nurse who passed out at a press conference immediately after claiming she felt good after receiving the vaccine, etc. - and they remember the 1970s swine flu vaccination injuries, thalidomide, etc.

There is too much immediate access to uncontrollable media for authorities to hide any information that could show that this vaccination is unsafe even if they try to, or even if it turns out to be be unsafe, so lots of people are taking a "you go first" attitude.

Just make sure it's not from that bad batch of Moderna that's causing bad reactions in SoCal...in Brazil, they've discovered the Chinese vaccine is only 50% effective; but "still better than nuthin'" so it will be administered. My wonderment is: with at least 2 newer more virulent Covid strains resistant to vaccine, when the waiting list gets down to me, will the shot(s) be worth it? I also note that with only one shot, the best idea is to behave as though "you've had no shot at all"...that second shot is really essential, but with the dosage shortage, the two-shot plan has been altered to give as many as possible their first injection till production ramps up. IE: in battle, when you engage the enemy(Covid 19), U R no longer on Plan A

And I would bet any money that if this oil reserve, the Tar Sands the third largest in the world, was in Germany you would be using it.

Well we have the second largest reserve of brown coal and will stop using it till 2038. The first power plant was shut down last year, three more to follow this year.

Yes I know, that's just the stupid Germans and their green Utopia. But maybe people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do.
