Test results with NYGM, Win-7 (64-bit):

IIA - As expected.
VIIC - As expected
IXC - As expected.
XXI - As expected.
XXIII - Cannot test properly, but probably OK. As soon as U-boat is loaded, the watch crew is killed (as with all U-boats), and the game abandons the career with 'insufficient crew'.

Tested by briefly reloading saves from standard test positions in mid-patrol, at different dates from 1940, 1942, 1943 and 1945, with different loaded equipment. All loaded OK. Checked with external camera (F12), fixed external view (key ','), flak view, checked actions of both periscopes, also of schnorchel (XXI only), and of radar (where fitted). No problems or CTDs.

I noticed that the repair-spanner was functioning on the watch-tower immediately after load of the game, even though there was no repair crew.

The whole test sequence took only about 10-15 minutes, others please note!

Stiebler.

Tested with the following:
[DEPENDANCIES]
M.E.P v3="FlatSunFix for M.E.P v3"
[MODS]
Merchant_Fleet_Mod_3.2=1
Torpedo damage Final ver2.0=2
Torpedo_HAHD_1024=3
M.E.P v3=4
FlatSunFix for M.E.P v3=5
MaGui 3.4=6 (MaGui is : MaGui Final And MaGui Widescreen merged together)

Manually moved the MO and lookouts to the bow quarters on a type IIA.
Surfaced and MO did not move, manually moved him to bridge redived then surfaced still he did not move to bridge.
Alt-tabbed out of SH3 the alt-tabbed back into SH3 and WO was dead along with 1/2 the damage control team and one of the disel engine crew.

Tested so far just in a single Mission of my own have yet to test in campaign. But thought you might want these results .

EDIT: Tested in Career (IIA), and WO still did not move. This time the sim started with most of the diesel engine crew dead and one of the bow quaters crew dead.

Also operating system in Windows 7 64Bit

Does that mean "Works properly, as advertised" or "As expected, nothing works at all"?

Sorry, I know you meant they worked properly. I just couldn't help myself.

Thank you guys for testing. So I'm optimistic now that I can release the bugfixed 1WO-Automove Mod in the next days. But further testing would be helpful.

@reaper: The intention of the test mod is NOT to automatically move the 1WO, so you seem to have misunderstood my post #1035

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...postcount=1035

If the watch tower was damaged (and crew maybe damaged, too), all seems to work as expected. See the "Background" note in my post #1035 for details.

THIS IS OF COURSE NOT THE FINAL MOD. THE INTENTION OF THIS TEST MOD IS ONLY TO TEST IF I CAN ACCESS THE WATCH TOWER DAMAGE COUNTER PROPERLY UNDER A BROAD VARITY OF CONDITIONS.

New beta version V15E3 available
  • containing bugfix (CTD after 1WO automatically moves to bridge in conjunction with free cam).

Note: The 1WO Automove Mod worked very well on my system, but I could not test all possible situations (operating systems, mod combinations) because of only little help of other testers. So if this mod does not work for you, just disable it using Stieblers Options Selector.
