Unfortunately i wasnt as good solderer as i thought i was, and i had to ditch the PE insulators. Instead i used the medium called Green Stuff.
Good thing it has the right color, and theres no need for paint. |

Basically I took these pictures having Siara in mind, just seeing that he already got closeups from another source afterwards.
Cheers, Michael |

Latest from the workshop:
Copper wire twisted for steel line, isolators from green stuff, and the wraparound tie from 1mm brass tubing. I think thats the right way o go about it- what do you all think? |

Thanks Steve.
I had small break from the yard, as i was busy with some other builds. But im back, and planning to finish the boat this year. I managed to upgrade the insulators process, and made the wraparounds from the cotton buds, which have been stretched on top of the cigarette lighter. Brand new blade allowed me to cut the small sections cleanly, without them splitting. Fishing braid called Dacron from Drennan company as the line. Custom made rigging blocks from sheet of brass, and wire, soldered together. Threading the braid was the problem, but i have solved it with the use of thin copper wire. First i threaded the wire through the wraparound, and after forming the loop, the braid was placed inside the loop, and threaded back through the wraparound. Spot of CA glue on the braid, and loop was slid over it. After cutting one end, we are left with neat finish. Hope you like. |

I'm thoroughly enjoying the build Siara.
I'm gonna miss it and all the kool things when it's done. Kinda like watching a really good movie and, not wanting it to end. |
