getting the sound correction now. is it also jsgme capable? also, last time i played, i didn't gett the above mentioned error. not sure if that's cuz i updated RBs mod, or if it from starting a new career . if the latter, it might be best for others to enable this sound mod while in port. i also have another sound mod enableb, VM sound SH3 that seems to have no conflict with POULs mod

Thanks Racerboy, Slick and Paul. Checked all files in my Data/Sounds directory, corrected about a dozen (not all paul's) and no more CTD's. Paul's mods together with Chris's mods (spirit of machines,comand and combat) really bring the boat to life.

Once again thanks to everyone for clearing this up.

This is a super sound mod you have made! I had downloaded it from a while ago. It looks like there has been a bunch of new things happening with it.

Are these new files in addition to the first file to make it most complete? Or, would I imagine the last file is the whole thing? To me it seems like it is in parts. :hmm:

not silent, just busy. Real life work issues have kept me away from playing with the computer recently.

but:
an U-boat is not a empty cave.There are 51 bag´s of meat(the crew)-
on some respond of the crew there is a little to much echo in the voices.
(i mean)
By the way:
Is it possible to create an Dialog like this?:

WA:"Enemy ship spottet!"-----------WA:"Feindliches Schiff gesichtet!"
Kaleun:"go on battlestation!"--------Kaleun:"Auf Gefechtsstation gehen!"

Then every compartment tells the Li:

"Bowtorpedos is on battlestation!"--------"Bugtorpedoraum ist auf Gefechtsstation"
"Engine is on battlestation"------------"Maschienenraum ist auf Gefechtsstation"
"Afttorpedoroom is on battlestation"----"Hecktorpedoraum ist auf Gefechtsstation"
and so on.
At last the Li tells the commander:"Boat is on battlestation!"--"Boot ist auf Gefechtsstation"
It is recommendet,to bind this "dialog" to a shortcut like :"Make next ship to target",because it is no good idea,to hear this "dialog" every time,a ship (friendly)is been spottet.

Yes, certainly - a submarine it not an empty cave. It is the hollow metal cylinder. He has compartments (a diesel engine, electromotors, a compartment for torpedo and other.). 51 bag´s of meat (the crew) from these compartments speak and communicate through metal hollow pipes for dialogue. Therefore I have made such reverberation. If you are present on a main deck -voices from the center of a submarine will have reverberation. If you are in a submarine - voices from a main deck will have reverberation too. I heard this sound and I have made it.


Certainly. Such dialogue to create it is possible. But I have a problem. It is difficult to find real German voices. Real German language is necessary for this work (and English too, forSH4)

May i do my next holiday with some friends in Kazakhstan to help you out with German language?! (joke)
Ok forgive me for my bad english.I´have no english lessonbook near by my comp,
so this is absolutly "freestile english".
It´s a very good idea to make some of the crewrespond with reverbeffects.
But for me personal it´s a little,little,little bit to much reverb.
My job is to prepare liveconcerts here in Berlin,so every week we have made a few
soundchecks in our house in the afternoon.Later in the evening,when the musik will
start,there are about 1000 guests to join it.Believe me,in that moment it´s an ab-
solutely new sounding and has nothing to do with the soundcheck in the afternoon with an empty hall.That means:"1000 bags of meat" kills many of the naturally reverb in our concerthall,51 bags in an U-boat too.
Once again! Thank you for your outstanding work.Just wanna help you to make it
perfekt.

Thanks. Welcome to Kazakhstan. Here live many Germans. I have good German friends. But their german language is language of old Germany. I and you am colleagues. In the past I wasthe rock-musicianand and did concerts in big concert halls and in stadiums. Therefore with effect of reverberation and an echo we are big friends. Now I work on main thing TV of our country. I here the chief of sound studio also write music (soundtrack), also I make sound design for teleprograms and cinema. Sometimes I make work for BBC, CNN and "Deutche Welle" when in our country big international events are spent. You can send me the voice (also voices of friends). A format 44100Hz, 16-Bit, Mono.
I shall try to make other variant for the work. If I shall have time.

For the entertainment I have made it (for myself):
Correction of a sound RB SH4 Effects 2.03.
The idea creation of this sound mod belongs RANCERBOY (Racerboy's SH4 effects (and more) for SH3 2.03).
I have simply added space and volume in a sound. Because these signals sound on the big open space of the sea. Has made a sound better (the Format:
44100Hz, 16-bit, Mono). It on has much increased the size of files. But I love a good sound.
Also:
- Has made different Ship's Horn/Whistle at the civil ships and the military ships (files: " shc_x.wav = Ship's Horn/Whistle Civilian "
and shm_x.wav = Ship's Horn/Whistle Military ")
- Has made effect " Old Radio " for a voice in files " sam_x.wav = Ship's Announcement Military "
A lot of gratitude RANCERBOY for greater and interesting work. It gives many entertainments and also opportunities for modelling.

Excellent I'm glad to see that my live_AI_ships idea is catching on and people are making new sounds for it. This is what I was hoping would happen.
