Default sh4

hi hunters

it's a bit like the eric and ernie joke with andre previn - the one with the piano;

sh4: it's playing all the right notes, but not necassarily in the right order !!

something like that anyway.

sh3 for me, for now.

I prefer the atlantic / north atlantic area. I played SH2 and SH3, I will ignore SH4 and wait for SH5 to be of a cold war atlantic setup... :-)

I'm trying to like SHIV -- there are times when I'd rather be Mush Morton than Otto Kretschmer -- but it seems like a step backward from even stock SH3, let alone SH3+GWX. What gives? I've been shivved!

I have both installed, but I'm playing SH4 more at the moment. That is, untill GWX 2.0 makes it's appearance! Then back to the atlantic I go!

SH3/GWX: plenty for me. The modding community has elevated and enhanced an already decent game - and now we are on the verge of a whole new experience with the new GWX. Also more interested in the Battle of the Atlantic (my uncle fought in it on a patrol frigate). Thank you GWX team and modders!

SH3 1.4b + no mods
Medieval Total War II
Nothing else

Haven't heard anything good about SHIV, except that it looks better than SHIII. Besides, I'd much rather be a u-boat commander than a submarine one.

U-boats only for myself

SH3 1.4b, SH3 commander, GWX 1.3, Sh3 gen 0.07, SH3Weather, JSGM

LRT 1.2, OLC Gui, Torp damage final, Sound4GWX 1.3

Realism around 90% + - 1%

I like viewing the Boat now and then

Having been playing SH3 (set-up in signature below) for just over a week now I'm still AMAZED at all the mods and expansions that are available. It seems endless, and so , therefore, does the playability and lifespan of the game. It's the most engrossing game I've come across, having been playing all kinds of games since the late eighties.

So I'm with just SH3 now and I can't see me wanting SH4 for quite some time to come (plus the fact my current computer would self destruct if I tried SH4 on it! It only just handles SH3, 20 -30 FPS). Therefore I hope this great forum continues to be as popular as it is and the community as a whole stays as strong.
