The rumor at the time of this clip was the record company wanted a music video of the song, but Reed just wasn't interested in the idea and/or was just being his usual contrarian self and flat out refused to participate; to actually commission and then destroy a rather pricey animatronic figure must have sent some of the corporate bean counters into apoplexy; this video was deemed so disturbing at the time that it was banned by some outlets...

The song maybe raw and brutal but it has something, and this "war rig edition" video with the Max Max driving scenes are worth watching alone ..

Good on you Kai...... I'm an animal lover too. Many pets over the years, all now long gone...I used to help with rescues too. A lot of humans are pricks.
