I have sober based list, but with Realenvironment (and some small changes because of that)and not RSD yet.
Worked great with ui 7.4.2, but CTD on MARE NOSTRUM silentotto when I put ui 7.5.0. changing back...

7.4.2 is back and it works fine. No CTD Mare Nostrum Silentotto. I tried with and without longer repairs on both. 7.5.0: CTD 7.4.2 :good to go.

Oh I forgot to tell I put zone.cfg from FX_Update_0_0_22_ByTheDarkWraith into OH 2.2 mod (replaced)

Much to my own surprise, NO CTD's !! This means that the difference between a working and non working list is non existant. The ONLY difference in mods I started out with, is the SH5 Longer Repairs v1 which isnt in there anymore.

I'll test to make sure that this was the issue .. altho I think one of my tests already ruled it out .. I'll be back

Edit: Clueless now ... no CTD's anymore with original list ... it's as if the issue solved itself magically.

Tried to alter system date in an attempt to reproduce the CTD's we had .. no luck.

Could this in any way be cache related ? (someone please save me from going mad an gnawing away at flatcables while throwing transistors out the window...)

It's SH5... It seems that the only thing you needed is one mod list/game reinstallation . If you remember , i was suggesting game reinstallation together with a bit shorter list at the beginning of this discussion but, no one wants to listen me... So, now you should cross your fingers and enjoy campaign...

I'd love to be able to believe that ... except that:

I did not reinstall the game. I unloaded my modlist, and slowly build it back up again over the last few days .. constantly getting CTD's in certain scenario's.

NOTHING changed ... at all ... no more CTD's. No different method of installing, no fresh mods, no clean save dir after first wipe, no adition, no update, no ommision.

It just vanished. As a computer engeneer, I refuse to accept that and I want to know what the f is going on with VC++ and SH5 that makes this happen.

I also thought about there just being too many mods. This can not be true either, as a mod is nothing more then an overwrite for an already existing file in most cases. A few actually add stuff, like TDW's, but they are stable as can be for as far as I have been able to tell with testing.

What I think COULD explain this, is JSGME. If JSGME gives special effects for some reason (messes up backup/restore proces cuz of date handling for instance) we ought to expect special effects with sh5.

Only people that have recently been messing with their list seemed to be affected .. others had no problems and where accused of robbing NASA for instance :p

I dont know of a way to test this. (I use dd-mm-yyyy on my system ... if it interprets mm-dd-yyyy, all sorts of crazy things can happen)

I finally made it work with RSD. What I did was go out and reenable snorkel in options before I started. Never tried before because I planned to do that in bunker. .Found out that western approaches didn t work either until Snorkel was "fixed"

I continue to hunt. What I found out is that when some Mods are installed for example RSD and the Realistic hydrophone 1_0 (that just came out) it crashes Mare Nostrum Silentotto. However in both cases I could start a New career go out on patrol then exit game. When I reentered game I could start the game M N silentotto and no CTD. Been proved severel times now. I tried to move TRevs Auto scripts to the end of JSGME , (A mod I always had), And No CTD Mare Nostrum. I m 80 percent sure(more 90percent) that when I put Realistic Hydrophone 1_0 from end of JSGME back to the place Sober put it I got CTD again. Same procedure:start new career start patrol exit game and I entered M N silentotto without CTD. I m to tired of this to retry moving that mod up and down. I t could been a coinsidence. Move realistic hydrophone 1_0 from where Sober have it to end of JSGMNE should not mean any difference at all since it only overwrites a file from new UI s and it was behind new ui s all the time

This sounds as para-computer science to me

I have seen relistic hydrophone, and it should only overwrite some of the New UI's files, i.e. its position relative to RSD shouldn't make any difference

If you read my own posts back in this topic, you'll notice me pinpointing the issue, and it then mysteriously disapearing never to be reproduced again.

I sortof gave up ... I can think of no reason for this other then JSGME doing unintended things ... but without being able to reproduce reliably, it's hard to diagnose

Edit: I might create a manual modded game, see how that goes...

Maybe I messed up when I seem to remember moving it gave M N CTD however I can add that when I removed the newly added Realistic Hydrophone I could enter M N silentotto no CTD again. it was after that I put it in the end just to give it another try. First CTD then I started new career . I tried like 4-5 times with CTD before I started new career and then the problem was fixed. Wasn t it you who suspected something with JSGME gap?
Anyway if I m the only person who experience it just like this then it s kinda worthless. I ts not Normal to try M N silentotto everytime something new is installed....oh hmm to avoid confusion I didn t mention that I got CTD with western approaches Silentotto the one time I tried that instead.
I can count ZERO ctds silentotto starts after started new career from beginning with the excact same JSGME list. I think I had like 50 CTD tries when I add up trying to change to New ui s 7_5, RSD and Realistic Hydrophone

Edit: Oh it was you who suspected JSGME Plj

Same here ... reliable results .. untill the error vanished and I got not more CTD's where I should get them. Only thing I did is disable and enable different mep profiles about 100 times.
