Spain - Italy yesterday: that was fun to watch! Open helmet visors by both of them.

Aye. It was a good game. Italy are looking not too bad at all.

Like the look of Croatia too. Really, really, really wishing we hadn't had to sell Jelavic to Everton.....

Nice England goal, there. Can they go the distance, though?

Lovely equaliser there. Edward Woodward would have been proud.

Was it? I missed most of it. I've a gastric bug so I kept falling asleep. Woke up for the goals and that was about it. Doesn't Hodgson look like a slightly perturbed owl, though?

I think both teams used the break to negotiate a result of accepting the draw and not playing the second seriously anymore... Yes, I think it was a very boring game. Big team names, small performance.

Well, the Sweden v Ukraine game has been pretty good. Quite enjoyed listening to it.

Did we really expect anything else?

England have their moments, but they're quite flash in the pan. The orangutan was on the bench so he couldn't head-butt his way through the French, and the French team, while better than the one that was in the last World Cup, is still in disarray. I had the French down to win 2-1 in the second half but our goalie seems to be on his game.
All rather reminiscent of the World Cup though where most England games consisted of missed opportunity after missed opportunity.

Still, it's all good fun, fun to listen to the commentators rip Englands performance apart on Radio Five Live Pretty much the only reason I listen to it!

Not a bad result for England against France but the Ukraine result puts them firmly in the group driving seat.

I spoke on the Real Radio Legends programme tonight and Supermac agreed with my point that England appear organised at the back but are lacking in attack and so predictable.

Good luck but Russia is the best team so far in this tournament, either that or the Czechs were piss poor

Thus far I've yet to see a tournament with such low refereeing standards.
