That thought is scary.
It is... Don't want no sweaty smelly men making a mess in my sub. I have a mat at the bottom of the hatch too for the lookouts to wipe their feet on when they come in. No slobbery in my sub!
Oh, luv, can't imagin the dive times you have with your sub, by bein' this tidy!
I mean till all of the watch Crew wipe their feet...well...
If you think that's bad... she makes us wash our hands before logging onto teamspeak too.

(Just joking Pen. Don't hit...OUCH!!! )

I thought they sank 3.....Where did the other penants come from....
Not every event they went through is in the movie. Early in the film The Old Man mentions they've already been depth-charged, but we didn't see that either.

I didn't think they sank any more either, but the above is the best excuse I could come up with.:rotfl:
Thats why i watched the German with subtitles...hopeing to find the missing parts....i even went on Amazon.de trying to find the missing link/footage :hmm:
Too no avail.....I guess i can chalk it up to "Lockness" and "Bigfoot"... :rotfl:

The first time, I saw Das Boot in Nairobi. My wife arrived the following day and asked me if there were any good movies playing. I told her I heard Das Boot was pretty good. So we went to see it.

My next encounter with it was in France where I watched it for a week, all ten hours of it on TV.

When I got my first laptop, I rented the DVD

In California, I saw the director's cut. In the last 3 years I watched it 3 times when friends dropped in with the DVD

So that makes it, what? 7 times?

The DVD double pack director's cut/Full TV Series is due to arrive under the christmas tree.

That time, my old worn-out VHS cassette will retire and I'm ready for the next 20+ years.
We got our first VCR back in '83 or '84 and "Das Boot" was my second own cassette
