Is the BAF DLC compatible with ARMA2 or is it just OA?

All these DLCs and expansions confuse me.

BAF, along with everything else coming out is for OA, which is standalone and doesn't require A2. The only reason to get the original game is if you want to combine the old content into OA.

It's OA only.

If you only get one get OA, but I'd recommend to get both. In any case you'll always be using the OA executable, and all content from the original Arma2 will be loaded as mods.

We'll have to see how my HD holds out...long overdue to get another one to free up some more room.

I'll be playing Arma2 on Tacticalgamer's Alpha server for the next few hours. No mods required, so hop in!

A2 or OA? Can't say I'm interested in playing my German A2 copy.

Im installing A2 again; aparently if you run OA installer with it installed it will merge the content on it's own. Had it on HD, but the keys weren't in registry, so ended up with separate installs. See how this pans out.

I believe I installed ARMA 2 again before downloading the steam version of OA, I know I can load up "Combined Operations" through steam which is basically OA but you can also use Utes, and the Chernarus. Don't know whether or not weapons carry over. Been too busy to check.

Yeah, after getting everything reinstalled I got Combined Ops shortcut too. All the gear and campaigns were added into Arrowhead. Is nice.

I'm using the i5 3.33GHz(2 cores/4 threads) now from the old Core 2 Duo 2.8GHz. The boost to fps is amazing when the scenario is not full of AI......but went down when playing say warfare games or heavier user campaign .

I should have bought i7
