Only KIUB English shouldn't be overwrited

Don't know why you have the freeze on loading screen...
Have you installed the LAA application, to get more memory?
If not you should

I think I found the culprit. I am still in the process of d/l them but I had OMEGU_v300_pkg and you had OMEGU_v300. I got mine from subsim but found yours in the larger compilation of OM + OMEGU (I think) so I am trying that one now.

UPDATE
it seems to work now...but the OMEGU v300 patch 7 doesn't show overwritten as well as kiub and update 7 patch fix

UPDATE again
Fifi this is fantastic!!! You do fantastic work!

Glad you made it Sniper

When installing mods, before activating them, i always check by double clicking it, and the first folder to come has to be always Data ...if not, the mod can’t work.

You’ll see in OM +OMEGU many things are different than any other Silent Hunter
Some you’ll like it, some you probably won’t...but it has this special spirit i’m In love with

Enjoy and good hunting

The SubSim OMEGU_V300_pkg is just that, a package, and has the actual OMEGU_V300 mod inside of that, so you have to pull it out of the package folder and then activate that. Another problem can come up if you don't empty the Save folder (C:\Users \UserName \Documents \SH4) after changing mod configuration.

Default XXXIII

ahoy,

has anyone run into a problem re-loading a saved career-mission with a XXIII boat? this is a 1945 issue so there may not be many players in that play.

i can create a career, save it, start the mission, end the mission, but cannot reload the save. CTD.

in truth, i am reviewing boat emblems and not really playing.

Does it always do that KaleunMarco? Have you tried exiting the game, doing the XXIII, Saving and trying a reload that way? I am experiencing similar with FotRSU, where if I attempt to do too many "tests" in either the Campaign or Single Missions, I will eventually run out of memory, in spite of my computer having plenty of resources left. The game just does not manage its internal memory very well apparently... If you are testing something "critical", it is advised to exit the game, then re-enter and test so that you are certain you are getting accurate results. These two mods (OM w/Fifi and FotRSU) are quite large...

yes and yes.
i've reloaded the saved mission about every which way one can.
  • launch OpM. create XXIII career. start mission. re-load mission. CTD.
  • launch OpM. re-load saved XXIII mission (in port). CTD.
  • launch OpM. re-load non-XXIII mission (in port). load XXIII mission (in port). CTD.
  • launch OpM. create a new XXIII career. exit. re-launch OpM. re-load saved XXIII mission (in port). CTD.

i am going to reboot now and see if that makes a difference. More to come......

The type XXIII is the only one i didn’t touch at all!
It is still stock OM, without any enhancements...that’s why i never play this one
If one day i’m Asked to upgrade to this boat, i’ll Refuse!!

Don’t think many people will play that one too
Probably not necessary to loose much time with it?

Yes that's where I found it! And now dumping that sh4 folder has been ingrained in my memory. Thanks Prop!

My install does not do that. It Saves and reloads fine no matter where I Save... I also usually do not do a Save that way. I have usually departed the port before Saving, or just prior to coming back in to port... Does a Save outside of the port work for you?

i dont think ANYone WILL be able to play it so i am good with moving past that model.

ok, then i am finished with reviewing all of the emblems for the other Uboat types. i will upload the new TGA files in a zipped file in a little while.

Yes, always save out of any action, and out of harbors and towns...old SH5 reflexes

That is good news Marco!

After the usuals tests tomorrow, if all goes well, i will release them in update 8 (with others stuff)
This way, no more Update 7 Patch Fix needed, we will go on with traditional Update 8 in place of others.

Default Type 2D accepts a new Turm loses Sensor Room

playing the Baltic theatre in a 2D.
returned from a mission and was awarded a new Turm. had to take it...no option to refuse.
when i fired up the next mission, my first order received a reply of "Cannot Comply".
WTF. where did that some from?
so i returned to the in-port-refit Savefile and discovered that the new Turm erased my Sensor Room. well.. it did and it didn't. keep reading.
here are the After and Before screenprints.

i looked at the new Turm version of the ActiveUserPlayerUnits.UPC and Compartment 3 is still there and, in truth, it does not look any different from the previous Compartment 3 with "old" Turm.
[UserPlayerUnit 1.Compartment 3]
ID=IIDRadio
CompartmentType=1
FunctionalType=SensorsRoom
NameDisplayable=Radio Room
  • so...lots of questions...for no one in particular:
  • why is compartment 3 defined but not visible?
  • why doesn't the engine room comply to an engine order...even if there is/isnot a radio room?
  • how do i fix this? while i find and fix errors from time to time, i do not build new parts (Turms) so i do not know how to take apart a Type 2D and its Turm to see how it works.
