Guess what? I've been reading the "Biggles" books by W.E. Johns. I love those books, and I like to use a name which isn't very usal. (in a subsim forum )

My username came while I was playing Day of Defeat years ago. I just picked it, ´coz it sounded good. I just realised few months ago that it actually means something. :rotfl:

Over at my Il2 squadron I’m known as IceFrog, that is a different story, but one time I was trying to log in I typed IceGrog, and I thought that would be a naval sounding name.
But I’m having second and third thoughts about it.

My parents chose mine some 23 years ago for God knows what reason...:hmm: They had to get a special permit to have it excused from Argentinian naming laws. They were able to prove a familial connection, seeing as my Russian great uncle was conveniently also called Boris. Otherwise I might have been called Juan or something...

A big AHOY to everyone. This is my first post after discovering your site a week ago

My name goes back to when I was posting on a CFS3 site (simouthouse) It's a play on my last name (Roberts) and my date of birth 18 02 65. I used it then and it just stuck really.

Can I just say what a brilliant site this is, I've learnt so much since stumblling across it !!!

I wasn't aware of this law. You learn something new everyday.

Jack Tar is a Royal Navy slang term for the ordinary seaman.

DANG! I thought you looked familiar.

So; now that we know, do we call you "Onkel Bruce"?
