With the water surface i was success, but i can spot the ships so latter :rotfl:, they shoot me before i am able to spot them.

That shiny water surface looks good for impresive sceen shots, but i am looking for a little bit more clear sky background, to be able to spot them almost at 2000m.

Still on job.
Don't mess with the alpha channel in night sky. Just edit green or blue channel to obtain a brighter sky Alpha is there for a reason okay?

No. Disconnect and enjoy your vacation. We can wait. Your wife cannot.

Trying to get us back on a worthy topic...

I'm currently working on changing the color of the mediteranean sea. Look at the screenies below and you will see how yelowish it is.

I'm attempting to eliminate it by making it more tropical greenish/bluish... Will post results later.

Thanks Bubba.... understand, i was working on that, making many changes on Marrhkimov Ocen reflex and night vision files.

I obtain a good result yesterday night, but with 16km Atmosfere files, i was using original Ortegas files before, sadly i loss all photoshop templates , i decompress the texture extractor and all other zip files, into a folder "unziped", all textures, photoshop templates and new files was in that folder....... normally y make a clean of my "unzipped" folder periodicaly....... aahh... what a stupid, i erased all files.

Anyway i have the last files into the game instalation, they looks and works very more clear now, clouds works fine.

I test them at high latitudes, noth of Norway, at april or march you really have not a real night at any moment, just a constant dusk.

Hola Hartmann...

May be due the program do not take the moon as a dinamic light in camra view.

The water surface is into a file wich contains many squares, each one corresponding to a some hours of the day, these squares has drawed the sun reflection over them.

At dawn this reflex is at east, and at dusk it is at west, no sun reflections at noon or at night of course.

It is because the sun position is predictable according with hour of day.

Moon displacement is more complex, you can have the moon at many places at night, some day moon can be at determined place, but at same hour nother day the moon can be in diferent position, Plus....you have only one square for sea at night.

In this only one square (the top right one) is the night sea surface for all the night hours.

You can draw a moon reflex on the night sea surface, but it will be there always, some times in the correct places, and some times in wrong place, even with no moon on the sky.

Sad.

A new night environment which I use at the moment. At the top it is pure black and fades into shades of dark blue colors on the horizon.

Hi!

One thing I noticed is that clouds are dark overhead, but light at the horizon. Is that part of the same effect? I would have thought all the clouds would be dark or light, depending on moon illumination.

Thanks redwine for the explanation

Gracias por la explicacion

Unafortunately the dev team forget how important is the moon and his reflections in a sea simulator. or perhaps a engine limitation.

Its nothing, anyway you can tell Marhkimov, may be he can do variation of his mod including a reflex on night sea surface.

If you do not looks for the moon, you will not note the moon is not in the sky :rotfl: , or it is in the oposit side of the reflex :rotfl: and the sea surface at night will looks very beautiful with this reflex.
