No kidding, I mentioned the cold weather to an old guy yesterday and he said: "On December 1 in 1941, it was colder. I was 19 years old and I was 18 kilometers before Moscow wearing boots with hobnails (which are nails inserted into the soles of the boots) and summer uniform. That was cold! I realised we would lose this war."

50 to 70 cm here, and another delivery due tommorow. But life goes on as usual, we have our little date with the shovel enough to get the car out then go to the pub like its summer. The bitching about roads being a mess is after we drive back home

Makes you feel a little humble there.

Classic stuff, that, the Elizabethan Express and the Night Mail are my favourites.

Very humbling indeed, the beginning of the end of the Third Reich there. Lucky guy to make it out of the Eastern Front with everything still attached.

The country is buried in snow so the news tells me day after day, but not here you spanners. Not a drop of it, as for being cold well I have seen people in T-Shirts and the postmen around here are made of steel as all you see them in T-Shirts & shorts.

I live in Sweden, it's been alot of snowfall here aswell. Well not crazy much, right now it's around 25-30 cm deep, which is tolerable, and makes for nice landscapes and enough to ride the sled. And, as of now, the temperature is -2 degrees C. Which is great, just enough T for the snow not to melt.

A brief relief really, since last week was really cold, and last sunday temperatures reached -20 here.

Here in the Netherlands it's currently 5-10cm and it's already much.

But well, Sweden is a different case I guess I've been to Stockholm a number of times, twice in the winter. Though the first time, new year some 4 or 5 years ago, there wasn't any snow
Great city though, Stockholm

Temperatures here are similar to the ones in Sweden it seems. It's just below 0 ATM, the lowest last week has been -16.
I love this winter weather. The kind of weather that makes me grab my drinking horn and fill it with the strongest beer I can find

Being that we will probably get no snow this year, we went on a trip to the mountains yesterday.

Really big pics, might change their size later. Prepare to wait for them to load.
