That first shot.....is that a real car?

No snow ever. Well there was this once in 1836. We do get bad hail though.
No sun either last I heard, mostly rain at the moment

I love snow. We got just a couple inches today, just a dusting though. I live too close to the lake to get the heavier snow, but I just gotta drive a few mile south to double or triple the amount. Lived here most of my life, but lived in upstate New York, Potsdam actually, when I was in school. Now those had winters. Bout an hour or so south of Ottawa, So I know what CCIp is talking about.

What amazes me is how people forget to drive in the snow. You don't need 4 wheel drive, you don't need chains. Just common sense. Easy on the throttle and no hard braking.....

Went out for some supplies yesterday and you had to be careful where ya tread lol, was up to your knees at some points, insane!

This was the view from my bedroom window yesterday lunchtime. It's just as bad this morning, with more heavy snow forecast!

The icicle outside my window, this has actually grown about a foot since this pic was taken lol

Oh the weather outside is frightful,
But the fire is so delightful,
And since we've no place to go,
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

It doesn't show signs of stopping,
And I've bought some corn for popping,
The lights are turned way down low,
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

When we finally kiss goodnight,
How I'll hate going out in the storm!
But if you'll really hold me tight,
All the way home I'll be warm.

The fire is slowly dying,
And, my dear, we're still good-bying,
But as long as you love me so,
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

Lots of snow in Denmark as well.

Today there was an official warning to stay at home in the southern part

Now we have snow...not big flakes but very powdery stuff, but the wind is really whipping it into drifts, small drifts mind, no more than a few centimeters, but it's the most we've had here since this started.

Time to activate my winter alter-ego: SIBERIAN NINJA!

But sometimes hard braking and heavy foot on the gas is fun....

Then again it is needed, who would have thought that to slow down going down hill you would need to add some throttle...

Also if you need to turn I put the hand break on, put my wheels on full lock and then pull away, do a nice pivot to point the way I need to go.

Also judicious use of the hand brake can help get the car round corners if you find you are turning but the nose isn't coming round fast enough.
