Default I love the sticky binocs and chart!

I love the way the binoculars and chart stay on the plotting table, even at a 50 degree list.

There are a lot of small graphical errors in the screenies, so I do hope this is an early beta that we're seeing.

YES! That is what made me most happy, finally seeing that. Looks like I can deal with the lack of a cutaway for that.

The boat is perfectly level. The photographer tripped as he snapped the shutter.

I like the system. Instead of moving the Repair team to the compartment, you move the damaged compartment's entry to the to-do list.

Sheesh. SHIV isn't even out yet and the Yamamoto's been sunk more times than it had days on patrol...

Say me some old games with AA. I can't remember the oldest with it, but nowadays is a basic standard feature (with the texture filtering and others too).

Back to the threat, very nice dark pics.

But...

...I haven't seen a pic with the sub damaged yet.
I read somewhere that we can see hull holes...
I'm wrong??

There are very recent games that can't use FSAA. Games by Ubisoft.

That's YAMATO***. Yamamoto was the admiral.

*Yamato is the ancestral name of Japan, hence, "Yamato spirit."

Hmm. I always assumed that it was a late war ship and they named it in memorial of him after the assasination. I hate finding out I misread something, but to be fair I haven't brushed up on my Pacific theater in a long time.

Admiral Yamamoto used the Yamato as a flagship at the battle of Midway. She finished her sea trials late in 1941.

Frankly, through most of her career the Yamato was a poorly used asset. During Midway for example, she was hundreds of miles back in a support group when her massive anti-aircraft batteries would have been far more useful up front with the carriers. During the critical battles in the Sololmons from 1942-43 she pretty much swung at anchor at Truk atoll, acting as a headquarters ship for Admiral Yamamoto and staff. Wasn't until 1944 that she and her sister ship, Musashi finally got into action...in losing battles...Philippine Sea, Leyte Gulf, the Last Sortie.

Wartime rule #1 Never name a ship in your countrys name because its very
embarassing when it is sunk.
I believe the Germans named a ship called the Deutschland before someone
higher up said (Not a very good Idea
)

Not exactly a morale boosting event either.

Just wondering, do current Screen Captures apps capture FSAA or do they just capture the Pre Production images before the process?

I remember this was a problem when Post-Production graphic cards 1st started coming out. The captured images never looked as good as they were on screen.

I am just wondering if this may me part of the reason for no FSAA images. I thought all Screen Capture apps now capture the Post Production images now but I could be wrong.:hmm:

New screenshoots from MS Team (at the end of the thread). The dark pictures come from the nvidia drivers (the screens are clear on the LCD).
There is no AA option in the menu option of SH4 (maybe because it s a preview version).
