Ugh...
Little request for GWX 2: Make it so that Ctrl+D makes the boat die. I just killed off five of my crewmembers, including two officers, and wounded two, by hitting "D" accidentally with my time compression set to 1024. Poor little II-A didn't like to get slammed into the ocean floor 60+ metres below ![]() Other than that, is it just me, or doesn't Norway have sail boats in its roster? I know it's a simple matter to add them using Windows Explorer, but I still wonder why they've been "left out".

POSITIVE
- Love the seagulls when you depart out of a harbour. - sound of the me109 is better. superb, i wish il2 had such a sound - dragable chronometer is included now - i like the (nav) lights on the ships - many shipmodels - damage model is much better now. - textures - sea is much better, i sometimes get the feeling that i am really there. - smoke and explosions are great! - i have met a beautifull red cross ship. Wow really great work. NEGATIVE - periscope depth isn`t the periscope depth. You have to watch your depth now. but this can also be positive. - silent running isn`t the silent running - stutters (still) - long loadingtimes - hanging (strange) sounds (when submerged) - you can`t aim precisely anymore when you unlock a target. - i see dark green spots in the dark when you look at the horizon. - I have to tome down the ai. Because you can`t rid of a destroyer now. Thats great but not for the beginning of the war. But its a cool mod!! And i thank the team for the great work. Loading times were found to be the same or less than GW1.o
They will always be increased from stock as the game has more ships\aircraft to load as well as bigger campaign files How is periscope depth not periscope depth ? Same q re silent running ? Aiming should be no different when unlocked either - maybe trickier because of the uboats movements |

@Periscope depth....are you meaning the boat broaching the surface or the periscope in it's housing?
@Silent running...??????? @Stutters...are you meaning frame rates per second or game freezing? @loading times...what are your system specs? @Strange sounds...????? @Aiming problems...well use 'auto' then!! |

Strange sounds: I got into a loop of a creak sound when i was diving deep. It repeated/hung the sound and keept going untill i reached next level of creak sound. Think it was the step between 3 and 4. I havent been able to reproduce it more than 2 times and it seam to be random. There was also a few sounds i didnt like but its all about my own liking so i changed some of them. Torpedo explosion, diesel engine extern. Light on neutral ships: Its nearly impossible to se the flag they are sailing under cuz of thos 2 lights that shine on the flag during the night. Only viable info i can get that it is a neutral ship is that it is lighted. ![]() Silent running: Well i havent noticed any differnce between going at flank speed or sneaking at 2-3 knots in silent running. The Destroyers spot me and find me no matter what i do and they never loose track of me. It remind me of the early game when it was released whit thos Uber elite destroyers that it was impossible to get rid of. I had a destroyer after me. he spotted me from 2,5 km away while i was going at 3 knots at periscope depth. I was in quite shallow water, dived down to 150 meters, close to bottom. He was impossible to get rid of. I found some deeper water after some hour and dived down to 250 meters. And he never loost contact whit me. It ended up whit that i had 5% battery left and i guess he must have dropped about 500 wasserbombs on me and i dived deeper, and i went to deep so my sub crusched. This hunt lasted for about 3 hours real time. I was quite pissed that a destroyer from early war time have this behaviour. So i adjusted the AI sensor dat file a bit to my liking. Other things ive changed is the damage explosion texture on a torpedo impact. I wanted to se a hole not some dust on the side of the ship ![]() I have also made a new seafloor sand in 512 and this was also a little project i had going so i would have changed that anyway ![]() But i guess we all have different ways what we like and dont like. I just found the AI sensors to be a little bit to though for my playstyle. And i also tuned down the Aircraft.cfg a bit. Overall i just love this mod and all its features. GWX is AWESOME!!!!!
![]() not only have they created an ultimate mod....I got an increase in my FPS....about an extra 30!!!!!! I used to average about 73 now I'm getting a huge 115FPS!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() All this while using the increase resolution technique from the community manuals!!! GWX guys, I like the new damage model (even though I find it a bit too easy, wouldn't mind 25-30% increase in toughness) and secondary explosions are just lovely. My only question is: Is it possible to get rid of that immersion killing message "NA: She's going down!"? If not, is it possible to replace it with something else at least?
