Look under the Graphics options in the Main Menue. In the options on the right hand side is one for detailed waves.

Thanks for another great piece of work on this one....and of course, the flawless install instructions(if all else fails!). My only concern is underwater visibility at night.....can't find my boat from 2 inches away...even went through it once without knowing...just heard the engines pass behind me. Just a little observation..I can live with it since the rest is so good!

I want to apologize for an erroneous entry in the RTFM. With regards to ROW Sounds and installation along with other mods, it says "delete the sound.sdl file in ROW Sounds\Data\Sound". You won't find such a file there, because the CORRECT name of that file is sh.sdl. I'm truly sorry about that, I was the one who gave kriller2 the wrong name. My memory sucks in general, more so when it comes to names. Having been away from the game for almost 4 months, I should've known better than rely on memory :p
On another memory-related note, when I first loaded up the game again a few days ago - after an absence of 4 months, like I said - I ended up staring at the keyboard for a long, hard minute. I could not, for the life of me, remember the shortcuts! And then, naturally, it all started coming back to me. Within a few minutes, I was breezing through again. Bad habits die hard

ATi HD 3870 with 8.8 drivers.

I tried the experimental shader no 9 to see if it's a driver issue, and it's not. I have very transparent water with the no 9 shader and none with the current release.

Sorry didn't get back to you on this before the final release, but i didn't have a chance to check out the last beta before you'd released the final version
I have the same problem using a 2600 xt ati and 8.8 drivers :hmm: no water transparency

I gain about 2-4 FPS when OFF, not staggering, but enough to push me through the 24FPS threshold sometimes, and that's always a plus. Fire reflections etc do seem to be hit or miss, but I can live with that. All in all, kudos to billko for this find!
That seems crazy compared to what I saw. I'm using a 2.83GHz P4 with an Nvidia 8800GT. When I turned off Detailed Wave Ripples all ship reflections in the water were giant and pixely. It looked like crap. Especially through the periscope. As soon as I turned it back on it was back to slowly rippling full reflections in the water.

FPS wise I saw no difference. FPS was pegged at 60 FPS the whole time basically. During huge multiple explosions I guess it dropped.

Is it this you are talking about? - can you post a screenshot of what you are seeing, so that me and Nisgeis knows what to (not) look for?

I know I'm repeating several other comments but this mod is absolutely amazing. Screens don't show it.

However, I've experienced a peculiar problem. I get CTD some 6-8 hours after leaving ANY base. I tried that several times with Pearl, Manila, Guam, etc. and it happens always. Is it possible that it conflicts with RSRD?

You wouldn't be using an Nvidia GTS or GTX card at all ??

If not, You'd be better of posting some basic pc specs so guys/gals can have a squint over them and maybe throw some ideas back at ya
