If I was bandwagon I woulda been out at halftime against Ghana. Too slow, this makes me want to watch Hockey *Yawn*

Some Americans like this sport, some like me actually watch EPL when it is on over here.

MLS sucks. Any American player who is any good, makes more $$ in Europe. So MLS is basically a college league, and an old washup league (right Mister Posh Spice?)

Edit: I predict your prediction will be true Niki...sadly Americans are easily distracted. I am sure the Kardashians will help us forget the shame.

England honestly. I expected so much more from them.

They did what America should have, just flopped around like a fish on a boat deck until it died.

I kinda like to think our big brothers are better at stuff than we are, especially soccer.

Next World cup, I say we just drive a few tanks in front of our goal , point the guns at the refs, and dare them to yellow card us!

Maybe plant some land mines.

Now that would get Americans watching the sport!

Land mines and soccer are made for each other!

Wait, wut did u say?

Portland has declared itself the epicenter of soccer in the US. By calling the MLS a "college league", you make Portland cry.

I used to live across the bridge in Longview Wa. I am surprised all the good players didn't off themselves with the 4 months of rain and clouds they get in that region.

You got alot of tweakers there too? Man WA state was infested with brown toothed meth addicts when I was there.

But damn the pot was the best, I live in the NYC metro area and cannot find nothing near what I found out west.

I can't see them liking soccer, alot of hipsters and druggies.

Portland calls herself " Soccer city USA."

Who are we kidding, we're South Seattle.

Nirvana maaaaaaaaaaaan! I slept (with a girl) one night in a town who's claim to fame was Curt Cobain slept under one of the river bridges there. Or so she told me, I Forgot the town name, was in Grays harbor county, all I got right now.

I loved Portland and the Pacific NW in general, Mt. st helens (and surrounding area) remains one of my favorite places to visit (in the summer, when it never rained), all jokes aside. Everyone in the Pacific NW is so cool and chill, I love ya guys, got a soft spot in my heart despite the rain jokes.

I remember flying in, you see a massive mountain (Ranier) sticking out from a thick layer of clouds, it looked awesome from the plane.

The NW got alot of cool things, soccer is not one of them.

The soccer city thing give me douch chills.

Didn't see either of last nights games because of work committments but neither result surprised me.

Now we go into the knockout stage where teams have only the one chance to put in a winning performance...something the favourites or better teams feel most comfortable with.
