I keep spelling Portugal wrong, sorry.

I am only rooting for them to cover up the USAs bad play in the Germany game. But Rinaldo is still a stand up guy, and I am his newest fan.

plus 4 on usa game, hold on boys....Hold the line!

Then you might start to learn that his name is Ronaldo...

They may make it past today, but they're going to get their posteriors handed to them in the knockout stages if they can't do better than this.

Yeah man, I am not denying it.

Thank you Nipplespanner and Rhodes, I have been adequately educated. Still love the guy, paying for a kids surgery then shaving your head with the surgery scar is a stand up move.

And USA advances. I am satisfied, as we got further than all the experts predicted. We had a hard group, and outside of this German game, we outplayed everyone else.

No we will not win, we will not even get close, I feel we are playing for respect, the rest of the world kinda laughs at us when we try to play soccer, I am sure some respect was earned, and maybe this will bring more fans to the sport over here.

I can only hope.

Surviving the "Group of Death" as it was called is a milestone of sorts.

Even if we backed in, instead of drove in.

1:0 is probably the kind of score that I expected most for this match: a marginal German victory. That they failed on so many good chances in first half, is biting me. They will not be able to afford that against the real tough teams coming.

I ate during the match and must admit that short time after the goal I fell asleep a bit, and was back not before 5 minutes to the end. No idea about second half , therefore.

Was the same as the first, the ball would stay in the USA side as the black jerseys kicked it amongst themselves, every time they got close, Tim Howard (a fine Jersey boy) would save us, or one of our guys would slip a foot or head in. I have to say, the USA close net defense was awesome, as Germany lived in front of the net for a great deal of the game.

USA made a few good attempts at pushing, and did good, but had alot of sloppy givaways.

Didn't miss much Skybird, you missed the aggravation of your team not beating us 6-nil.

Not a poor game by the US, but they got dominated by Germany.

RONALDO, (Nipplespanner and Rhodes, I got it right this time)
American hero! Me and him could be buddies, my real first name is Christian, his is Christiano. We are both superstars in our field. He can score goals, I can dig holes.
